Installation
- Upload & activate “WC Search Autocomplete” under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Go to Settings → WC Autocomplete to configure:
- Suggestions count, debounce (ms)
- Enable/disable DuckDuckGo Suggest
- Colors (dropdown BG, text, selection), font size, borders, shadow
- Search-icon (color or custom URL)
- Product thumbnail (px size)
- Exclude out-of-stock products
Usage
- Type at least 2 characters in your WooCommerce search field.
- The plugin displays internal suggestions (title, SKU, EAN) and—if enabled—external ones (DuckDuckGo).
- Navigate with ▲/▼ and press Enter or click to select.
- Clicking a product takes you to its page; selecting a phrase triggers a search for that term.
Customization
- Inline CSS: all style settings are injected via wp_add_inline_style.
- Available hooks:
- wcsa_extend_search_join to extend WP_Query joins
- wcsa_or_search_posts_search to tweak fallback OR-search behavior
- wcsa_force_strict_product to override shop search logic
